The Cappella Sansevero was built in 1590 and decorated for Raimondo di Sangro, prince of Sansevero. The majestic interior of this chapel is adorned with ornate frescoes and sculptures. Il Duomo was built from 1272-1315. This amazing chapel has unfortunately lost most of its original Gothic structure, now exhibiting more of a Neo-Gothic style. Within its walls stands Christianity's first basilica, dating back to the fourth century, the Basilica of St. Restituta. Also, the Chapel of San Gennaro can be accessed through the basilica.
